Impact: Every pair of shoes provides 1 day of fair work for women in Morocco. Raffia is strips of palm and is a natural fiber that forms to your foot, but it is not stretchy and it’s not scratchy. Raffia shoes are a work of art, each handwoven over 1-2 days. After the upper is woven, the raffia upper part of the shoe is placed on a hard flat wooden sole with an upcycled leather insole. The shoes are originally sized in European sizing. Please refer to our size chart for shoe measurements and please measure�your foot ahead of ordering from big toe to heel. We recommend sizing down if you are a half size, and the shoe should fit well, particularly if it’s a closed-back shoe.
